what3words Editor's review

what3words is a new universal address system.w3w is a giant grid of the world made up of 57 trillion squares of 3 metres x 3 metres. Each square has been given a 3 word address comprised of 3 words from the dictionary. [Go to the settings menu to change the 3 word language.]Explore the map, zoom in to see the grid, and tap the wordbar to share a 3 word location with your friends. You can also use the app to purchase an additional, personalised address for any 3m x 3m square: it's called a OneWord. It always starts with a *, and you can move it to your current location, or any other location whenever you choose. You can use the w3w app to find , share and get directions to any 3 word location or any OneWord location.w3w is universal. You can email or SMS a w3w, say it over the phone, write it down or just remember it. It's the easiest form of address communication. We hope you enjoy what3words!Please note: to function properly, the what3words app requires an internet connection, either via 3G, 4G or WiFi.
