Mantis Bible Study is an iOS app that lets you read, search, and annotate the Bible. It's not the most intuitive app we've ever seen, and some of its features must be purchased, but it's not a bad choice if you're looking for a way to access the Bible on your mobile device.

Mantis Bible Study has a fairly plain interface, though navigating it can be a bit of a pain until you get used to how it works. A button on the upper left side of the interface lets you choose the version of the Bible you want to read. It comes with the King James Version, but you can purchase others from within the app. It's easy to navigate to a particular book and chapter, and the app also lets you search for particular words. Users can add notes, highlight passages, and save texts to folders for later use. There's also a daily reading schedule, an automatic scroll feature, and the option to purchase voices that can read text aloud. A history feature lets you quickly return to passages you've recently visited, and you can also easily e-mail passages from within the app. A built-in Help screen explains the app features. Overall, Mantis Bible Study is a fairly basic app, but it contains useful tools, and users who feel like investing in additional versions of the Bible, will end up with a pretty powerful Bible study app.
